Alright, so it has been a bit since I last posted, did ya miss me? I just have a hard time being "inspired" by anything in the world lately. How can you be? It is a constant flood of negative information. It is 1/28/2020 and in the news this past week was CORONAVIRUS, Kobe Bryant and if you dig deep enough, the rest of the people that were killed and a handful of cops shot up. Sounds like good news being spread all around.
Do you ever wonder why people are depressed? Or why there are 1000 ads for antidepressants
on TV? Well, watch the news and see if you feel like being a jet-setter, productive or even want to engaged with a single soul. They want you to be on meds. Step away from the idiot box for a month or so, go for a walk and lift up them spirits! My gf said it perfectly: people can barely trust their significant other, but will trust the media. It is true. You are allowing them to get deep into that cerebellum, plant a seed of despair and you run with it. A 24 hour loop of negative images and information will turn you into a shell of a human.
I gave up TV a long time ago. I will watch a movie here and there, throw on a rerun of Seinfeld or King of Queens but it gets about 2 hours of my time A WEEK! I don't read MSM news outlets, I don't even read a magazine. I don't care if JLO was snubbed for an Oscar. Which is my segue into this...
Why do you care about these people? Really, ask yourself that question. "Do you really CARE about it?" No, it does not affect you in any way. I get that it is a human emotion to feel bad for Kobe's family, but does it "break your heart"? On Saturday, did he even cross your mind at any point of the day? No. IT DOESN'T AFFECT YOU. Stop giving your energy to things that don't matter in real life. So, they died and it is a tragedy. What about the other people? The other families that have been torn apart? Why don't they matter just as much? How about a fireman that falls through a roof of a burning building? Doesn't he deserve to be honored by the media? Did you know that on the same day Kobe died, a missile was launched at another US Embassy? Or how about on Monday a military aircraft crashed in Afghanistan? Probably not. How about the 9 people shot, 2 fatally (an infant mind you) in Chicago? But, KOBE!
All you see online is people fighting. Now, I am all about trolling and talking shit, it is my favorite pastime but I do it for comic relief and to test out my insult skills. Keep my reflexes up to snuff. There is real hate out there and guess who started it? The media. They don't want us to love each other! They want us to fight and divide. If you are letting them win, you have the mental capacity of a wedge of cheese. If you cannot see what is really happening out there, you should really, REALLY pay attention.
NBC now says they considering not allowing Trump's commercials to be aired on their networks. Yes, you read that correctly. You get suspended/banned from Twitter, FB, Instagram and whatever other degenerate social media platform out there, if you don't agree with what the say. Want proof? The other day my cousin tagged me in a Trump post on Instagram, I never received a notification. You go on Twitter and engaged with someone who doesn't agree with you? You get a suspended
account. I was just in both Twitter and FB jail for calling someone out on their HATE SPEECH but I am the one who was silenced. They are blatantly taking away our free speech! You don't get to silence me because I don't agree with you!
You can hate me all you like for my views. I give a shit. You are the turnip, not me. I don't care where someone stands, it is THEIR RIGHT. I respect that. Learn to respect mine. We won't even be able to have adult discussions soon. They are taking away our FREEDOM OF SPEECH. They are trying to rip apart our Constitution to fit their narrative, to suit their needs. Wake up already!
It is all a distraction from what is really happening. Every BREAKING NEWS is a fucking distraction. Start doing some research, people. These networks are all owned by the same people, with the same end result in mind... to control you!
As always,
Jen

What a time to be alive.
Have you looked at news stories lately? Have you been on Twitter? Let me touch on a few things here, without any outline whatsoever. The current state of affairs really makes me scratch my head and wonder WTF is going on in the world!
First, I am obsessed with this Empire cast member and this tale of "MAGA Country" in Chicago. Have you heard of Chicago? The sanctuary city that has been democratic since, oh I don't know...THE DAWN OF TIME? -17 below out and 2 guys walking with a jug of bleach and a noose, not 1 eye witness. I can't with this nonsense. "They poured something on me that was later determined as bleach" What gave you that inclination? One look at your clothes within seconds could have ended that struggle. You want to yell from the rooftops "HATE CRIME!" but when the cops arrive you ask them to turn off their body cams and won't hand over your phone. Don't worry, genius! They'll just subpoena your phone company and get your call log. You'd think you'd want to help in any way to find these guys. I really hope the truth comes out about this and they fucking nail this guy. I hate LIARS. And if it is in fact a hate crime, then I hope they find the dipshits that did it and throw the book at em!
Now, we got this big oaf in LA that punches the two chicks in line for a hot dog. Witnesses say the girls started and were throwing fisticuffs first. When did we just stop minding our own business? The guy was taking too long so now you're Wonder Woman? He's 6'3 and like 270! At no point can you take this guy! Stop trying to be EQUAL! WE ARE NOT! I am not. I NEED a man to protect me. I'll tango with a broad anytime, anywhere. But if I am poking a bear, I hope he would crack my jaw because guess what? I deserve it. That isn't toxic masculinity. You want to be treated as equal, then you get treated as an equal. There aren't caveats to that demand. I'd never fight with a man and think he will not swing back. Same with the man protecting his wife and kid. Girl comes up swinging and off to sleep she went. You have this gang mentality with these kids these days. You want to square up with someone; man, woman or beast, then you get to deal with consequences. No one is being held accountable for shit these days! Quit ignoring your children! Teach them how to be civil human beings and chances are a 40yr man won't need to do it for you by laying a combo off their chin. I don't condone abuse but give me a break already. A punch is a punch. And what is this "toxic masculinity"? Now men are being neutered. I want a Marlboro man not some skinny jean wearing, Harry Styles type bitch. Stop feeding your kids soy, people!
Pedophilia on Twitter. Yep, that's correct. Pedophiles run rampant on Twitter. I believe they're called MAPs. They look but don't touch and it is A-OK on this social media platform. So these predators can scroll and look for children, look at YOUR children and Jack Dorsey doesn't ban them. Amazing, right? They ban Roger Stone, Laura Loomer, Gavin McGinnis, Owen Benjamin and a slew of other "Conservatives" but allow for pedophiles to prey. We are now OK with this. Don't be shocked when they lower the age of consent to 12. They have already over sexualized EVERYTHING! They have children posing in magazines dressed inappropriately, making it B Porn for these sick fucks. How is this OK? How is this not a national outrage? We will stomp our feet at ORANGE MAN BAD but not a word about kid f**kers all over the internet! If there is something that enrages me, this is it. I'd fight a pedophile all day and twice on Sunday. We should be a pissed off Nation about that. But again, not a peep.
Now we want to kill a full term baby. I am not even going there because that is the work of the devil and I don't want that vile shit taking over my brain. So I will leave you with a tweet from Matt Walsh:
Don't come at me with your pitchforks. I am entitled to my opinions too.
Love you all and always!
Your Friend,
Jen

Munson, Like Roy Munson from Kingpin.
Why does January feel like it has 54 days in it? I can't.
A lot of you know, from my FB, Twitter and Gram posts that we recently had to put down our beloved best gal; Munson on the 19th. I have to say that I have been dealing with it better than I assumed. I am pretty vocal about my feelings and getting them out there because I have a low level of depression at all times but significantly higher in the winter months. Seasonal depression is no joke. But I have found ways to help that by just talking about my feelings and getting them out of me as opposed to letting them fester. Dealing with the devastating loss of the love of my life, I've channeled those feelings outward and I didn't care how many posts, how many pictures and how many tear-jerking words I used... I was getting that shit out of me! I can go to a dark place fast but I have learned over the years WHAT WORKS FOR ME. Anyway, our little babe is gone and now I have this whole new schedule that I cannot get used to! You thought I have zero responsibilities before?!? For the first time in 13 years, my husband and I are FINALLY going on vacation for a full week! Last time was our Honeymoon!!!! I am very excited.
The thing that I haven't been doing in the last 2 weeks is working out. Every morning I would get up, most recently would be a 30-45 minute Spin Class but prior to that, I would dance for an hour in my kitchen. Yes, I know it sounds ridiculous but try dancing for 60 straight minutes and see if you don't sweat your ass off... I rest my case. I just don't have the energy to "celebrate" like I have for many years. Munson would lay in the kitchen and watch me dance around and now, it just seems sad to do it. Funny, I didn't have the words to describe how I was feeling about that aspect of her death until right there when I put it on "paper". Dancing is like celebrating. I would celebrate that everyday I woke up, I had a great dog, I had a great job, a hot pot of coffee and a great life! Now I don't feel like doing it. I miss my audience. I will get back there someday.
In 13 years, Tony and I have dealt with our share of heartaches. In 2014, his mom passed away suddenly. It brought us together in a way but not like this. Having to make the decision TOGETHER to do what is best for our dog, really bonded us. I couldn't be in the room with them when they did it. I was about to bite concrete when I realized what was about to happen. "I wasn't coming home with my baby?!?!" I wanted her to remember me and see me not sad or crying. I didn't want to remember her taking her last breath. I am not built for things like that. I still remember seeing my Mother in Law in the hospital and I hate that image! It's been like 20 years since I lost my Nana and I still have dreams of her in a coma. I don't want those thoughts! So Tony stayed with her and for that, he is my absolute HERO! I can never repay him for being so strong and letting me leave to be completely broken alone. He would tell people that he dreaded the day I would have to say goodbye to my friend because we had a special bond. That dog is my life. I miss her terribly. I know my life is forever changed because of her.
Now what? People go out and get another dog in hopes that they mend a broken heart. I can't even picture another dog in my life. I don't think I will love it. I don't think I have a place in my heart for a replacement. I almost feel like I will reject it. Here is some info that many of you know but just to touch on it: I cannot have kids. This is why we don't have them. My puppah was my child. I can't imagine loving another "child" like my own. So stop asking me about kids. ALRIGHT? We are putting our house up for sale 3/1 and when we eventually move, maybe I will get another yellow lab with a fine pink nose to be my next obsession, but until then I am not ready. I've always been impulsive so this NEW ME is very strange.
A co-worker told me yesterday that I have a very tough front but after reading my posts about Munson, she can see just how big of a heart I have. Yep, you got me! I try not to care about things but under that candy coated shell is just a pile of mush. I love big and I love hard. It is an Italian thing and as much as I dislike it, I can't help it. I just LOVE! I hug everyone! I look you dead in the eye when talking to see the soul behind those eyes. This is why when people meet me, they feel an instant connection. I am a contagious crier, I am empathetic and compassionate. Those close to me know that I am a fucking sap. Just look through my Apple Music downloads... it's chock full of love songs. HA! Woe is me. Just know that if you ever thought you have hurt me before and I've claimed otherwise? You have hurt me.
So as I sit in this quiet, empty house right now, on this frigid 47th day of January, I think about the good things. I am so grateful that Munson doesn't have to feel the cold snow on her paws or ice on butt when she has to go bleep bleeps and bloop bloops. I am so happy that I loved her with every fiber of my being for almost 13 years and she never once didn't feel otherwise. She had my lips attached to that snout for her entire life. She slept warm and cuddled. She always had delicious food in her belly, even when I had to hand feed her or chew my food and give it to her just so she would eat. She never went a day alive and in death thinking she wasn't loved. That sentence hurt to type. Lawd!
I love you Munson, so very much.

(un)Social Media
I get it, discussing social media is like beating a dead horse. It has been talked about for so long and the negative effects it has on people. I'm not going to do that, entirely. I think that there are some positives to it: connecting you to old friends, family, some stellar memes... all good stuff. I have seen some jokes online that had me laughing to tears! That is always a good thing! You get to look up old boyfriends/girlfriends and wipe your brow that you dodged that bullet. Sometimes you even reconnect with someone you didn't necessarily think you've "missed" but turns out, you did. It's a sneaky thing that social media.
Here's the not so great part of it. With the world at our finger tips, it is making us stupid. Like, personally I cannot remember shit! Why do I need to, when all I need to do is throw it up into Google and I have my answer? I can sing a lyric to a song on Shazam and WHOOMP, there it is! Instead of making our brains work for it. It is also taking away from an actual face to face conversation. How many times are you sitting with someone that is buried in their phone? PEEVE! I will slap that phone out of your paws if you do it while eating! I LOATHE IT! People cannot even make eye contact these days! Oh but you surely have enough to say when you are on my Facebook, though. I don't need to be involved in every aspect of your life. It has made me not like people because I now see just who they "really" are. I say really as a joke because we all know FAKEbook is just for show. Your life isn't that great...you seem to forget I know you in REAL life too. You know who you are. My social media is pretty much a chronicle of my ACTUAL life. I show the dirty, the beauty, the headaches. I am a woman of conviction and I show it. I don't care if I offend you. Moving on.
You look at Instagram, now you are comparing yourself to these strangers that appear to have it all. You want their looks, their money, their lifestyle. How can you compete with this? At 40, I see how it fucks with my mood, I cannot imagine what this does to a young person. Now I do not think it is healthy for kids to have social media. It is hard enough to grow up amongst your peers, now you're looking at these filtered images and thinking you need to be poreless, symmetrical, a fat ass and full D cups. That isn't reality. I grew up flat chested, gaunt, horse toothed and a bubble butt (thank you J Lo for turning my big ass into a sought after attribute!) I knew what I looked like just by looking into that mirror every damn day! I didn't nor do I still come close to these babes online! I love to hate em! But at 40, I am blessed that I have held up so well. Kids don't understand that none of those people are important! Your looks do not define you. I guess that wisdom comes with age but it should be reiterated to the youngins daily.
Now let's talk about dating: Social Media style. Tinder? HA! What in the HELL is that?!? The Spiegel catalog of dick shopping. Just flipping pages until you see something you like. Is this not insanely shallow? It is all based on looks! I get that you have to have an initial attraction but do you know how many good people you're paying no mind to because they don't look good enough? I'm sorry, sense of humor trumps everything for me. Well, let me add to that...great teeth and a sense of humor. Nothing about a picture can convey who they actually are. Looks fade, unless you're me and you just get better (kidding) but you can be passing on a diamond for a fugazi! Then you exchange info, seems like the next request is "Do you have a Snapchat?" Yada yada yada... dick pic. I can't imagine what it is like out there! It used to be the climactic buildup in dating. The unveiling of the goods. Now, it's the 2nd text. "Does this meat look good enough for you?" Actually you just bummed me out and now I need to block you. I feel sorry for you guys that have to deal with this new age dating. There is zero respect, monogamy, discretion. Everyone is looking for the next score. It's sad. I have some very fine friends that just cannot find a decent relationship! Men want younger, women want it all.
Did I just ramble on for too long? I have so much PTO that I am taking an extra day off this week and felt inspired to spew out some bullshit rattling around in my brain.
Just remember that everyday your feet touch the ground, you are blessed. Even the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
Love you all and always!
Your Friend,
Jen

Love you all and always!
Your Friend,
Jen
